Sandip Nandy eases blasters to semi final

Kochi: Veteran goalkeeper Sandip Nandy turned a superhero as Kerala Blasters edged out a persistent FC Pune City 1-0 to reach the semifinal of the Indian Super League here on Tuesday.

Iain Hume scored the winner from a freekick in the 23rd minute. But it was Nandy who rescued the home side with a series of splendid saves to deny Pune a late equaliser that would've put out Kerala's hopes. Kerala Blasters have leapfrogged from 6th position to be 3rd on 19 points.
