Fugly director Kabir Sadanand has produced a new show — Friends Conditions Apply — for Channel V. “It’s a thriller based on the idea that it is in adversity that the real person within us comes alive.

The show has been shot cinematically, like a film. The first 14 episodes have been filmed in Rohtang near Manali, 12, 000 feet above sea level, where the temperature was minus 8 degrees. The climate changes every five minutes and at times, heavy snow would force us to evacuate the location,” Kabir says.

About the move from films to TV, Kabir says, “I started my career with TV as an actor. Although I was doing films I would set up shows for their initial episodes. I had been planning to do something on TV as a producer and this was the right time. On the film front, I will be announcing my new project soon.” — NC
