Delhi Police urges US woman to file complaint against Uber driver
She had made a complaint to Uber about this behaviour of their driver
New Delhi: Delhi Police has approached the woman from the US to file a complaint for the alleged indecent behaviour of Shiv Kumar Yadav, the accused in the Uber rape case, on November 26 when she had taken his cab during her India visit.
Nidhi Shah, who was in India for a week, has in a series of tweets on Tuesday said that during her trip, Shiv Kumar Yadav had stared at her through the rear view mirror and smiled in a weird way.
Police contacted her on Twitter and said that she can lodge complaint with them in this connection. She has also been urged to file complaint via email. However, till late evening, she has not responded.
Ms Shah had also said that she had made a complaint to Uber about this behaviour of their driver.
Delhi Police has already filed an FIR against Uber charging it with cheating its customers and defying government orders. It has been questioning senior Uber officials for the last three days.
