Nokia HERE Map now available on Google Play Store

Nokia HERE Map, which till now was only available on Samsung Galaxy devices and for Windows Phone users, has been launched for all Andoid users on the Google Play Store. The map service is expected to be made available for iOS users by early next year.

The defining feature of this location-based service app is its collection of offline content. Users can simply download the maps of the areas they require, which they can then access without an Internet connection. This feature essentially saves a user from the trouble of waiting for the navigation maps to load, especially during emergency.

The Finnish firm’s location-based services arm, HERE, will also provide solutions to Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Tizen-based smartwatch.
