Aditya Chopra to appear on Anupam’s show

Anupam Kher has started working on The Anupam Kher Show’s second season, which goes on air in March.

Apparently Anupam, who is a very close friend of  Yash Chopra’s family, is trying to convince the reclusive Aditya Chopra to come on his show with his wife Rani Mukherjee.

Adi, we are told, is “thawing” after a firm refusal. If Anupam succeeds in convincing him to come on his show, this would be Aditya Chopra’s first such appearance.

Interestingly, Anupam will start Season Two with a long tête-a-tête with Amitabh Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan too is expected to join.

Says a source who works on Anupam’s show, “Anupam wanted to start the first season of his show with Mr Bachchan. But then he wanted his interview with the mega star to go beyond what Big B has already done on television.”

Anupam has got the Big B to talk about details he’s never revealed before and focus on the very special bond he shares with Shweta.

Our source says, “Not too many people know, but Shweta is a very skilled writer. In fact she’s just been asked to do a weekly column for a newspaper and express her thoughts on life and relationships.

Anupam wants to touch on those aspects of Amitabh’s relationships that have not been discussed so far.”

Apparently the guest list for the next season of the Anupam Kher Show will also include such unusual names as Tina and Anil Ambani and Honey Singh and his wife Shalini.

“The next season will feature many surprises,” Anupam said. “I am very lucky in that no one I’ve invited on the show has ever said no to me.”
