Tullur mandal, which will house important government buildings in the proposed capital region, has become a popular name on the Internet.

Hyderabad: It’s not only the government, but even farmers can pool land among themselves. Farmers getting only 100 sq. yards of commercial plots at different locations can come together and seek one acre of commercial plot at one place.

This will give them a better deal to go for a huge commercial complex or a mall in the capital city area, said officials. The benefit of allowing farmers to go for pooling of plots among themselves has been provided in the land-pooling package released recently.

“Be it farmers owning riverfront lands or away from it, they can pool their plots. Farmers owning dry assigned lands, which are away from the riverfront, are being given only 100 sq. yard commercial plots in addition to 800 sq. yard residential plots. Those who are getting 200 sq. yard commercial plot or even 300 sq. yard, can also go for pooling,” a senior official said.

Farmers, however, should remember that they will get remuneration of either '30,000 or '50,000 per annum per acre with 10 per cent increase respectively every year as long as they do not sell their developed plots.

If they sell their developed plots, the remuneration will be stopped as per the land pooling policy of the AP government.

Meanwhile the tractors owned by the landowners will be utilised by the government, which will take them on rent for the capital construction purposes.

As per land pooling policy, farmers of the capital city region are also allowed to cut and sell teak trees located on their lands before the government takes possession of their land.
