N Chandrababu Naidu distributes Rs 7.05 lakh among poor patients in Vijayawada

The funds were spent from the Chief Minister's relief fund

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister went on a surprise visit to the government old hospital here where he interacted with patients and enquired about the services provided to them.

After the chief minister talked to the patients about  their financial condition at the hospital on Saturday, Rs 7.05 lakhs were provided from the CM's relief fund to them.

The 118 beneficiaries included 115 mothers, who recently had deliveries and were still under the care of the hospital.

Before leaving the city last evening, Chandrababu instructed District Collector M Raghunandana Rao to pay cash to the patients as a gesture of help to them.

Immediately, Sub-Collector S Nagalakshmi alongwith local MLA B Umamaheswara Rao went to the government hospital and facilitated payment to the patients.
