Nigerian held for drunken driving

Hyderabad: A Nigerian was allegedly caught for drunk driving near the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Banjara Hills late on Saturday night.
The accused, identified as Hussain, 21, is a degree student of Osmania University. He was driving his car after consuming liquor.
There were five other persons in the vehicle including two women.
Sources said that as part of the drive against drunken driving, the Banjara Hills police conducted a checking late on Saturday night. When the driver was checked the meter showed his Blood Alcohol Content was beyond the permissible limit, by around 50 per cent.
There was an argument between the media and the Nigerians when they were videographed and photographed.
Meanwhile, the Banjara Hills Traffic police booked a case against the driver and seized his vehicle. He will be produced in court.
