Telangana, Dubai discuss Smart City

Two officials from Dubai will visit Hyderabad within next one week

Hyderabad: IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao, along with Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation(TSIIC) Chairman Jayesh Ranjan, held discussions with CEO of Smart City in Dubai and discussed the possibility of developing a Smart City in Hyderabad as a part of Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR).

Also the Commissioner of Industries along with delegation from FICCI interacted with Chief Executive Officer, Smart City Dubai, Abdul-latif Al-mulla and Managing Director, Dr. Baju George.

The two officials from Dubai decided to visit Hyderabad within the next one week for follow up discussions.

Dubai’s Smart City is an integrated development featuring offices for IT companies along with residential and commercial development, all having a number of features that enable the people who work and live there to have a high quality of life using various technology solutions.

The Kerala government has entered into a partnership with Smart City Dubai for developing a similar model spread over 250 acres in the coastal city of Kochi, with an investment of Rs 4000 crore.
