Telangana introduces know your worker Scheme
The GO also makes it mandatory for staff to collect feedback
Hyderabad: Increasing incidents of ‘unattended carcass’ in the twin cities has resulted in a new scheme ‘Parichaya Karyakramamu’ Know your worker introduced by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department in TS which is to be implemented by the municipal agencies across the state immediately.
In a recent episode in Bellampally Municipality, a resident had to run from pillar to post to get a carcass cleared and even bear the brunt of verbal abuse.
In another instance at Shyamlal building at Begumpet, the remains of a mad dog poisoned was not cleaned for days, forcing the MA&UD to introduce the scheme which they claim will offer a quick solution.
In a GO sent to all municipal commissioners, the MA&UD states, “All municipal heads should implement the ‘Parichaya Karyakramam’ by appointing a municipal field level sanitary staffer.
Corporations were asked to give information about timings and contact number of the field workers and supervisors. The GO also makes it mandatory for staff to collect feedback.
