Rishi Kapoor left in the lurch
Smriti Irani and Abhishek Bachchan have opted out of the film which was 60 per cent complete
Rishi Kapoor, who had backed out of quite a few projects to be part of the Abhishek Bachchan and Smriti Irani-starrer All Is Well, is left in a lurch with Irani, who is now Union Minister for Human Resource Development, saying that she won’t be available for any more shooting.
Even Abhishek, who plays Rishi and Irani’s son, has taken time out to concentrate on his sporting ventures, namely the kabaddi and football leagues.
Though 60 per cent of Umesh Shukla’s All Is Well is complete, Irani has categorically stated that she won’t be available for any more shooting.
A source close to the project says, “Almost every frame features Smritiji, Rishiji and Abhishek. If she backs out they have to re-shoot the entire film.”
The biggest sufferer is, thus, Rishi Kapoor who had to back out of quite a few projects to accommodate All Is Well. And the actor doesn’t deny the setback. “In 2013, I had five releases.
In 2014 I had only one release. Hota hai. It’s all part of the game. When the dates of other actors are involved there is bound to be a certain amount of compromise involved.”
