Big buzz from small screen

Sonali Bendre, currently seen in Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, will soon be launching her own design label. A source close to the actress tells us, “Sonali is set to take the next step in taking her sense of aesthetics to all women.

She will soon be launching her own signature brand of ethnic clothing. Currently, she is occupied with the shoot of her TV show. Once the series wraps up, Sonali will collaborate with a leading Indianwear export house to design her signature line.”

It’s been raining expensive gifts for the stars of Yeh Hai Mohabattein. Viewers who have been complaining about Divyanka Tripathi’s drab saris in the show will be happy to know that a fan from Dubai has gifted her a range of designer saris.

That isn’t all: Her co-star Karan Patel has been gifted an iPhone 6 by a fan. Divyanka confirmed the incident and said, “It’s amazing to see that fans reach out to us even from afar. I will wear these saris in the show and at award functions.” Karan also told us: “I’ve been asked not to name the fan who gifted me the phone but just want to say thank you so much for showing us so much love.”

After Pavitra Rishta, Karan Mehra has been busy with a new film (Badmashiyan) and his other passion football. Recently, Karan was rushing from the sets to play a football match: the legends of football EPL versus Bollywood stars.

As he had very little time to reach the grounds, he hopped onto a local train and managed to get to the venue on time. “He would have let down his captain Abhishek Bachchan and team mates, including Ranbir Kapoor, had he reached late. So, in true filmi  style, he caught a running local to make it to the stadium on time,” a source reported.
