KCBC plans to meet Modi antidrug drive

Members of the Commission will meet Mr Modi and hold further talks on this topic

Kochi: The Temperance Commission of the Kerala Catholic Bishops Council has welcomed the anti-drug initiatives Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in his radio programme Mann ki Baat on Sunday.

Commission secretary Fr T.J. Antony said in a statement that it will work with the prime minister to achieve his vision for a drug-free nation. Members of the Commission will meet Mr Modi and hold further talks on this topic, he said.     

Mr Modi, in his talk, had cautioned the youth against falling into the drug trap and reminded them that the money they spend on drugs go into the hands of terrorists who pedal them.
