Lucknow: Unfazed by the criticism it drew last year, the Sefai Mahotsav in Etawah, this, year will be bigger and better than ever before.

The annual event that will begin on December 26 in Sefai, the native village of Samajwadi president Mulayam Singh Yadav, will have top politicians and celebrities as guests.

Samajwadi Party MP Dharmendra Yadav, who is the chairman of the organising committee, said that veteran actor and party MP Jaya Bachchan will inaugurate the fortnight long Mahotsav at Cha-ndgiram stadium in Sefai.

The main attraction of the programme will be  comedian Kapil Sharma’s stand-up performance who has reportedly charged a huge amount.

Incidentally, Kapil did not perform at the recently concluded Lucknow Mahotsav because the state government could not pay the fee he demanded.

The Sefai Mahotsav, this year, will be held in the memory of late Ranvir Yadav, nephew of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Ranvir Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav not only won his first Lok Sabha elections form Mainpuri this year,  but is also engaged to be married to the youngest daughter of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, Raj Lakshmi.

Another major attraction at the Sefai Mahotsav will be the famous Tai Hang Fire Dragon fire dance of New Zealand that will be performed for the first time in Uttar Pradesh.

Some other big names that are likely to be a part of the Sefai Mahotsav are actor Ajay Devgan, Monica Bedi and sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik.
