Hyderabad: Boggula Srinivas, 30, from Kurnool was just an ordinary person till few months ago. An MSc graduate in chemistry, Srinivas was keen on Telugu literature and he liked to write down his own thoughts on a paper.

His life has now turned into a nightmare after he wrote a book on Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan titled Pawan Kalyan Hatao-Politics Bachao. Mr Srinivas started receiving hundreds of phone calls threatening his life from Pawan Kalyan’s fans all over the country. Mr Srinivas has now approached the home minister requesting security cover for himself.

Pawan Kalyan Hatao-Politics Bachao was released in the month of May. Slowly, through social networking sites and word of mouth, it gained momentum. Pawan Kalyan’s fans then started targeting him over phone and via Facebook. Following his complaint, Telangana government has now decided to help him.

The Central Zone police will provide special security to his bookstall when it is exhibited at the NTR Stadium from December 17 to 26. However, Mr Srinivas wants more. “My life is in danger. I get several calls every hour. I want a personal gunman to protect me, and I appeal to the government to provide one personal security guard,” he said.

Mr Srinivas had criticised Pawan Kalyan dissecting the actor’s book and speeches he made at the time of the political campaign. The book title is itself on the line of the actor’s famous one liner “Congress Hatao Desh Bachao”. Mr Srinivas said that he does not have any political affiliation, and he just wrote the book “out of passion for literature.”

“I do not want to become famous over night, and that was not my intention. If Telugu people accept my analysis, I will be happy,” he said.
