Hyderabad: In the wake of the Peshawar massacre, Hyderabad police commissioner Mahender Reddy has promised that the police will ensure the safety of educational institutions in the city.

The police is likely to issue guidelines on schools’ safety soon. “We will come up with the measures after looking into the safety and security issues of students,” he said.

On reported terror alerts for Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad ahead of US President Barack Obama’s visit next month, he said that it was a general alert and not a specific alert.
