2 trains to Chennai after SpiceJet fiasco
The trains will stop at Vijayawada and Nellore on both directions
Hyderabad: Passengers, who are stranded due cancellation of SpiceJet flights, are trying to travel by train and due to the increased demand for tickets on the Chennai route, the South Central Railway has announced two premium superfast special trains between Secunderabad and Chennai on December 20 and 21.
In a statement, the Railways said that the Secunderabad-Chennai Premium Superfast Special Train (No. 02760) will leave Secunderabad on December 20 at 4 pm and reach Chennai at 4.50 am the next day.
In the return direction, Train no. 02759 Chennai-Secunderabad Premium Superfast Special will leave Chennai at 8 pm on December 21 and reach Secunderabad at 9.30 am the next day.
The trains will stop at Vijayawada and Nellore on both directions, said officials. Meanwhile, to clear the extra rush due to Christmas holidays, 14 premium superfast special trains will be run between Kacheguda and Bengaluru on December 24, 26, 28, 30 and January 1, 3 and 5, said the SCR.
