‘Secular Matrimonial’ website hacked hours after launch
The much hyped website has been hacked by suspected Islamic extremists
Kochi: The much hyped ‘Secular Matrimonial’ website launched by the Kerala unit of the pro-CPM Democratic Youth Federation of India has been hacked by suspected Islamic extremists.
The website, www.secualrmarriage.com, launched with much fanfare by film director actor couple Aashiq Abu and Reema Kallingal on Wednesday, came under attack within 24 hours.
The visitors who opened the site on Thursday morning was greeted by a picture of person with sword on horseback with the words Comodo.
It had also mentioned death to US and Israel and all those opposing the tenets of Islam. The group behind the hacking of the site of the actor Mohanlal was suspected to be involved in the hacking of the DYFI site too, sources said.
The DYFI has asked for a probe by an official in the ranks of the IG into the incident. DYFI has also decided to conduct a statewide campaign on the hacking of the website to highlight the threat posed by the fundamentalist forces.
According to the DYFI the website was launched as part of the secular campaign launched by the organisation in the state.
According to DYFI, the site was a platform for the meeting of people intending for marriage disregarding caste and religion.
