Finance controller of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences arrested

Hyderabad: V. Sridhar, the financial controller at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, has been arrested and remanded to police custody for allegedly stealing an official file containing his personal data.

An attendant in the finance department, who is a contract employee. was also arrested. The file has details of various actions taken against Mr Sridhar during the service period, apart from other data like date of joining, leave applications and memos.

Mr Sridhar has worked with the premier hospital for 20 years. In May this year, he was suspended as hospital financial reports were left “un-audited for years.”
