New Delhi: The BJP on Sunday hit back at Trinamul for using offensive language against the Prime Minister and the Union finance minister, and called West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee a “chit fund minister.” Describing the recent spate of “unparliamentary utterances” by Trinamul MP Derek O’Brien against BJP top brass as an “expression of the party’s anger over Saradha and Burdwan blast probes”, BJP spokesperson and in-charge of party affairs in West Bengal Siddharth Nath Singh said there was a virtual competition going on between Ms Banerjee and her party leaders in use of “intemperate” language against the BJP leadership.
