The NFC wants to set up its expansion facility

Hyderabad: After being successful in its efforts to get the Defence Research Development Organisation’s electronic warfare projects and evaluation facility in the state, the Andhra Pradesh government is now on the verge of getting the coveted Nuclear Fuel Complex unit in Kurnool district.

Chief secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao held a meeting with Mr Sai Baba, the CEO of NFC, and offered land at Orvakallu mandal of Kurnool district.

“The NFC wants to set up its expansion facility. It will be a minimum of Rs 6,000 crore project and the NFC is willing to bear even the charges incurred for development of the land we will allot for the project,” Mr  Krishna Rao said. Two other states also tried to get the project.
