New Delhi: Tata-SIA joint venture airline Vistara CEO Phee Teik Yeoh on Mon-day expressed hope that the government would soon do away with rest-rictions on domestic ai-rlines operating in the international market.
The restriction which is called ‘5x20 Rule’ restricts a carrier from serving global market, unless it has served India for at least five years or it has at least 20 aircraft in its fleet.
Vistara will hit the Indian skies on January 9, initially operating on the New Delhi-Mumbai-New Delhi-Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Ahmedabad sectors.
Vistara is a full-service carrier and its executives said the main aim of the airline is to serve the customers to their satisfaction.
