BJP national meet on January 3: BS Yeddyurappa
The BJP was gaining strength in northern states
SHIVAMOGGA: Former chief minister and Shivamogga MP B.S. Yeddyurappa said on Thursday that the national BJP executive meet would be held in Bengaluru on January 3 under the leadership of BJP President Amit Shah to discuss the political developments and to strengthen the organisation of the party.
After launching the blood donation camp to mark the birthday celebration of former prime minister Ataj Bihari Vajpayee, he said that the BJP was gaining strength in northern states, as was evident from the recently elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand.
Likewise there was a need to strengthen the party in the state, to bring BJP back to power. Mr Yeddyurappa said that Congress was running the Tughlak durbar in the state and it was also implementing anti-people policies.
“Hence, all of us should work hard to bring back the BJP into the power to stop the onslaught of the government on the religious practices in the state,” he said.
