Suspected maoists remanded

Thrissur: Two college students, who were arrested in connection with the alleged attack by Maoists in Palakkad, were sent to eight-day police custody by the Chittur first class magistrate court  on Friday. But the police have not still collected  enough evidence on the alleged attack, sources said.

The youths, Sreekanth Prabhakaran, BEd student, and Arun Balan, journalism student,  both aged 21, were booked under various sections of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
