Indore: A white tiger died on Saturday after being bitten by a highly venomous cobra at the Kamala Nehru zoo here.

Three-year-old white tiger 'Rajjan' was found dead inside the cage at the Kamala Nehru zoo this morning while a cobra snake in an injured condition was also found near the cage, zoo in-charge Uttam Yadav told reporters.

"It appears that the tiger had a fight with the snake and died after the snake bit the big cat," he said.

The white tiger was brought from Bhilai some days back only.

Post mortem of the animal confirmed that it died because of the poison, Yadav added.
