Kiss of Love: More arrests than kisses in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: There were more arrests than kisses in the Hyderabadi version of ‘Kiss of Love’, a protest against moral policing, inspired by Kerala. While the youngsters found it a fancy idea, most did not dare to go beyond cheering. The support to the protest ended too soon with the event organisers, participants as well as those who were opposing the event being arrested for ‘obscenity’.

The Gachibowli police initiated an ‘inquiry’ into the kissing act and had a tough time gathering video footage for evidence from local TV channels and students, who might have recorded.
