Farms burned in the anti anti-land pooling villages in Guntur
Locals allege that pro land pooling forces may have been involved in burning incidents
Vijayawada: Some miscreants set afire to banana plantations in several villages in capital location in the early hours on Monday. The people of the entire capital location villages were shocked from the incident in the limits of Tadepalli and Tulluru mandals in Guntur district.
According to preliminary reports, some miscreants set afire to banana plantations especially the stock points of supporting poles in the fields of villages Penumaka, Lingayapalem, Mandadam, Venkatapalam and Rayapudi in Guntur district. The huge numbers of poles were gutted and some banana plantations in the fields also partially damaged.

Apart from this, drip irrigation pipes and its system along with sheds were also damaged in the fields of particular villages. The police rushed to villages and initiated searches on the issue. However rural SP Rama Krishna also visited along with staff and inquired the villages.

On this occasion, one M Bushan native Mandadam village said that he tried to catch one miscreant when who was trying lit the plantations but he had hit on his head with stick fled away.
SP Ramakrishna requested the villages need not to worry on the issue and police deploy the Special Forces for providing additional security. He also said that they were conducting the inquiry on various aspects.
