Militant hideout busted in Assam's Kokrajhar

A vehicle along with eight mobile phones was seized after the hideout was demolished

Guwahati: A hideout of the NDFB(S) was today busted in a joint operation by commandos of the Assam police and army men in the jungles of lower Assam's Kokrajhar district.

A vehicle along with eight mobile phones was seized after the hideout was demolished in the Senfanguri police station area, 7 kms away from Khousi Bazar, in Kokrajhar district, IGP LR Bishnoi said.

The militants holed up in the hideout fled, the IGP said.

The vehicle was used for kidnapping and transporting ration items to the camp, Bishnoi said.
