Capital city in Andhra Pradesh to cover 3 mandals

Government issued a gazette notifying the AP CRDA after the Bill was approved by the Governor

HyderabadThe Andhra Pradesh “capital city” area will be spread over 122 sq km, covering over 31 villages and hamlets in three mandals of Tullur, Tadepalli and Mangalagiri. Earlier, the government had announced that only 29 villages in two mandals of Tullur and Mangalagiri would be part of the capital city.
 
Meanwhile, the capital region will be spread over 7,068 sq km with 58 mandals within its limits including Vijayawada and Guntur urban areas as well as rural areas and mandals. 
 
On Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh government issued a gazette notifying the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Act, 2014, after the Bill was approved by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Monday. The state government issued eight differenet GOs in connection with the APCRDA Act.
