Mahendra Singh Dhoni will go to Sydney with team

Mumbai: Despite his retirement from Test cricket, MS Dhoni will travel with the team to Sydney, the venue of the final Test, according to Arshad Ayub, the manager of the Indian team. “He will travel as a non-playing member,” he said.

“We were all surprised with Dhoni’s decision which he didn’t even hint before the game began. After the match, he came into the dressing room and announced his decision,” the manager added. Ayub, however, didn’t answer a question on whether anyone from the team tried to persuade him to stay. “I can say it was an emotional decision and no one was happy about it,” Ayub added.
