Lucknow: Even as protest rage across the country over the content in Aamir Khan-starrer pk, the Akhilesh government in Uttar Pradesh went ahead and granted tax exemption to the film.
UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that he had seen the film and found that it had a positive message to convey.
“How many of you have seen the film?” he asked and said that those who are protesting against it should also go and watch it.
The film has evoked violent protests in Kanpur and Bareilly.
