India’s strong retaliation kept the Pakistani establishment on its feet
New Delhi/Srinagar: In the second ceasefire violation in 24 hours, Pakistani forces resorted to unprovoked firing on a BSF patrol party in Samba sector along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, killing one BSF jawan and injuring another.
This drew heavy retaliation from the BSF, which killed four Rangers and injured several, besides destroying some Pakistani posts.
India’s strong retaliation kept the Pakistani establishment on its feet through the day on Wednesday, with top sources in New Delhi disclosing that Islamabad activated multiple channels, including the director-general of military operations, diplomatic and other communication channels, to impress upon New Delhi to stop firing and allow them to take back their bodies.
