Hyderabad: Following a heated argument with her husband a dentist allegedly committed suicide at their residence in Karthikeya Nagar in Nacharam police station limits. The couple had an argument over feeding their child. The victim's husband, an assistant professor, left the house and found her dead when he returned.

The victim was identified as N. Ramya Chandra, 25, wife of Prasad who works at the Osmania General Hospital.

Police said the couple has a one-and-half-year-old boy. On Wednesday afternoon they argued about giving milk to the child when he started crying.

After that Prasad took the child, walked out of the house and went to his relative's house. When he returned late in the evening Ramya was found hanging.

“When there was no response from inside even after repeated knocks and calling bell rings he opened the door and found her hanging. He immediately called an ambulance and shifted her to hospital but it was too late,” said sub inspector G. Narsaiah.

Based on a complaint, a suspicious death case was registered under Section 174 and is being investigated. Police said the victim’s family raised no doubts about the death. A postmortem was conducted and her body was handed over to the family on Thursday.
