Amit Shah arrives in Bengaluru, to chair BJP meet today

Mr. Shah will give inputs to party cadre on how to take forward the membership campaign

Bengaluru: BJP National President Amit Shah arrived in Bengaluru Friday night to take part in a day long meeting of BJP cadre on the ongoing membership campaign, Mr. Shah will participate in a BJP core committee meeting on Saturday, following  which he will address BJP MPs and MLAs  at the party office.

In the afternoon he will address party district presidents, secretaries and former MLAs regarding the membership campaign in the state.

Mr. Shah will give inputs to party cadre on how to take forward the membership campaign.

The BJP chief has already instructed the state BJP to achieve one crore membership by April end. Through the membership campaign, he wants the party to strengthen its organisational base in villages and hoblis.

In view of  Mr Shah’s visit to the BJP office at Malleswaram on Saturday, state police have tightened security arrangements at the office. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has been deputed to take care of security arrangements at the office and Gangamma-Thimmaiah Choultry.

The  city police has already cleared petty shops situated near the BJP office. Following the bomb blast in Bengaluru last week, city police have made elaborate security arrangements for Mr Shah and for the BJP meetings to be held at its office.
