Salman Khan’s favourite contestant for this season’s Bigg Boss is out of the House. And Sonali Raut doesn’t regret her eviction for even a minute.

“I stayed as long as I could. To go on now would have been unbearable specially since Salman has also left. The show is just not the same for me any more.”

During her longish stint in Bigg Boss Sonali came to be known as the in-house fashionista who did no work.

She laughs off the image. “I refuse to entertain these allegations. Like all other negativity in the House I’ve shut out this as well. I want to ask those who accused me of being lazy and not doing my work...if I didn’t do my work, then who did it for me? While I was in Bigg Boss I did all my jhadoo pocha, washing cleaning, Baqi jissko jo bolna hai bolte rahe. Mujhe koi farq nahin padta (I don’t care who says what about me working in the house)”

Apparently Sonali could afford to be so blasé because she was Salman’s favourite.

“Was I?” Sonali seems genuinely puzzled. “Was I really Salman’s favourite and blasé? I don’t know. What you could see from the outside was not visible to me inside. Only now when I’ve come out the Colors team tells me Salman liked me, that he in fact said that in the entire history of Bigg Boss there had never been a contestant like me.”

As for the charge of being blasé Sonali counters, “I just shut all negativity out. Believe me, that wasn’t easy to do. The negativity was all around me. It was impossible to avoid it. I had to collect all my will-power together to remain calm. I kept reminding myself that I had better things to do in life than to worry about food & hygiene and who said what to whom.”

Sonali often found her fellow-contestants amusing in their desperate endeavour to get attention. “I could see them over-doing the emotions and drama for the camera and I only laughed at them. They made such a mockery of themselves. I wanted to be no part of the tamasha.”

Yet she holds no grudges against anyone. “They are all sweet in reality. It’s the show that makes them behave the way they do. Even Dimpy is sweet. But if you ask me who I was really fond of I’d have to say the P3G and the bedroom gang. I became specially close to Sushant.”

Now that she is out of the House whom would she like to win? “Pritam or Gulati, either of the two, as for me I’m just happy to be out.

On coming out of Bigg Boss when I saw my parents  it hit me that I hadn’t seen them for three months.”

Sonali says she’s happy to exit in style. “Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandes came into Bigg Boss house to get me. Arjun put a handcuff around my hand and escorted me out. I avoided drama throughout my stint in Bigg Boss. But I loved my dramatic exit.”
