AP capital master plan by June: P Narayana
Place for temporary capital to be decided in four days: Minister
Guntur: Minister for municipal administration P Narayana has affirmed that Navyandhra new capital master plan would be re-adied by June to build a world-class people’s capital with the cooperation of the public.
The land collection programme under Land Pooling System (LPS) for the new capital continued on Sunday in which Narayana and others participated. He said that industrial, educational, health and residential hubs would come up in the capital region and a detailed master plan would be readied by June.
He explained that all local bodies in municipalities and villages would function till implementation of the master plan and the government will take a proper decision after its approval.
Mr Narayana said that by June/July this year, all government departments will be shifted to the temporary capital. He said that there is 1,75,000 square feet land available in Medha Towers in Gannavaram of Krishna but 5,00,000 square feet of land is required to shift all government departments. He added that town planning official Timma Reddy will inspect the lands and in next four days, place for temporary capital would be decided.
Responding to the delay in special status to AP, the minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is going to New Delhi on January 12 and they are hopeful of getting special status as promised during the state bifurcation.
The minister collecting lands from the farmers in Borupalem village, said that CRDA would start its office in Tullur and CRDA centres would be started in all capital region villages to resolve land-related complaints. He assured about fulfilling all promises and appealed Jareebu land farmers to come forward to give lands for new capital establishment.
Tadikonda MLA T. Sravankumar, district collector Kantilal Dande and CRDA and revenue officials participated in the capital land collection programme in Borupalem. Earlier, Mr Narayana, along with municipal officials visited Mangalagiri and conducted a review meet.
