Hyderabad: The police raided a brothel at Saket Phase II in Jawaharnagar and rescued a woman. A 26-year-old female organiser, named A. Laxmi Mythili, and Narayana, a customer, were arrested.

According to Jawaharnagar inspector P. Venkatagiri, the organizer Laxmi, a native of Sattenapalli in Guntur district, had taken a portion of a house on rent over a year ago to run a brothel. Laxmi, who claimed that she used to work in film production units, allegedly took to crime due to financial problems.

Police also rescued the 21-year-old woman sex worker. A case under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act was booked.

The victim was sent to a rescue home. The accused were produced before court and sent to judicial remand.
