Hyderabad: Chandra Shekar Reddy, former MP B.N. Reddy’s son and a 56-year-old architect, had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital for a chronic disease, which had affected his kidneys. However, he had reached a stage where he could not bear the pain anymore, said investigation officials a dayafter Mr Chandra Shekar shot himself to death at his residence using his own licenced revolver.
Banjara Hills police officers said that the family members are yet to reveal more information about the cause of Mr Chandra Shekar’s depression. “The investigation is going on. We are also investigating if there was any family dispute,” said an investigation official. The family members have told the police that Mr Chandra Shekar was suffering from chronic mental depression since some months. He locked himself up inside his room on the first floor of his house and shot himself in the head, when his wife and mother-in-law had gone out.
