Mumbai: Veteran Pakistan cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan finally agreed that he tied the knot with former BBC presenter Reham Khan. In a report published in Mail Online, the 62-year-old said: “I am leaving for Pakistan to share the good news about my marriage with everyone back home."

Reham is a divorcee and mother of three kids. She used to be the face of BBC’s regional news programme ‘South Today’.

People in Pakistan did not take the marriage positively and the repercussion could be felt in social media. It is also learnt that Khan’s family members tried convincing him out of the marriage.

The cricketer married Jemima Goldmsith in 1995. After hearing about her ex-husband remarrying, she said: “My ex-husband, Imran, recently announced that he intended to get remarried soon, which made me think it’s probably time to change my name back to Goldsmith.”

Otherwise, the woman converted to Islam and also learnt Urdu.

However, earlier he had dismissed reports about marriage calling it exaggeration.
