HyderabadFive patients tested positive for swine flu in the city on Tuesday, taking the toll to 23 cases in January alone.

Three children, a two-year-old, a three-year-old and a five-year-old have tested positive for swine flu. One child is undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital, while the rest are being treated in private hospitals.

Paediatrician Dr S. Krishna said, “Parents must not take cold and fever lightly if their children are below five years. They must get the tests done.”

The other patients are a 50-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman. Five people died due to swine flu in December. The government, however, has claimed it was due to multi-organ failure.
