Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police is planning to impose a Rs 500 fine on taxis which do not carry QR coded stickers, driver and owner cards. This applies to cabs that have been registered before November 30, 2014.
In a statement, the Cyberabad police asked all cabs owners, who have registered before November 30, to collect stickers, driver and owner cards from the Kukatpally cab registration centre.
Those who have not been allotted registration numbers have been asked to re-apply and obtain receipts, official said. The decision comes amid increasing focus on safety of passengers travelling in cabs, especially in the IT zone.
