Varun Dhawan burnt doing Badlapur song shoot

While the video of Jee Karda from Badlapur has been making news since its launch, what viewers may not know is that the shoot took a severe toll on actor Varun Dhawan. Speaking to us at the launch of the song, choreographer Ahmed Khan revealed that the actor was battered and bruised by the end of the shoot. “We weren’t getting the bottle slamming scene right, so I decided to do it myself.

I ended up hitting Varun really hard with the bottle and that is the shot that is retained in the video. It was sweet of him that despite the injury he shot for the video throughout the night. After that there was a shot with a pyro, that is a shower of fire.

I told Varun, don’t worry we’ve got cold pyros but I don’t know what went wrong with the operation… I noticed that Varun’s expression changed when he came under the pyro, and wondered about that. But when he came out of it, there was smoke all over him. We had to apply ice immediately; he had burnt his back,” Ahmed recounted.
