Thieves steal RTC bus tyres in Ghatkesar
The driver woke up to find his bus missing
Hyderabad: Thieves stole a hired RTC bus, stationed at Edulabad village in Ghatkesar, in the early hours of Thursday. The unidentified miscreants drove it away and abandoned it in a secluded place after stealing its tyres. The driver woke up to find his bus missing.
According to the Ghatkesar police, the driver who takes the route regularly from Edulabad village near Ghatkesar mandal in Ranga Reddy district to Secunderabad, often halts for the night at the village. On Wednesday night, he and his fellow driver, parked two vehicles and went to a nearby place to sleep. When he woke up at around 2 am, the bus was there.
He went back to sleep and woke up at around 4.30 am again only to find his bus missing.
“He woke up to a shock and searched in the nearby places and alerted his superiors and lodged a police complaint. Police launched a search for the vehicle and recovered it in Aushapur. The miscreants stole both the front tyres of the bus and abandoned it,” said T. Ravinder, inspector of Ghatkesar.
