KARIMNAGAR: The Lower Manair Dam (LMD) police booked a case against the anchor and the judges of Zabardasth, a popular comedy show, being aired on Etv, for allegedly showing a community in bad light and promoting enmity between two groups, as per directions of a court in Karimnagar on Thursday.

LMD sub-inspector P. Damodar Reddy said that a case was registered against anchor Rashmi and judges Roja and Nagababu of the show for

Karimnagar additional judicial magistrate asked the police to register the case while disposing a petition filed by Kethireddy Anji Reddy, a farmer of Timmapur mandal headquarters on Friday.

A case was registered against the trio under Section 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race etc.), 298 (Uttering, words, etc. with deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings) and 295 A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class) of the IPC.
