Barmer (Rajasthan): In the second such incident in three months, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan on Friday but there was no damage to human life or civil property.
The Israeli-made UAV-Heron, which took off from Jaisalmer airbase, crashed in Koda village, about 30 km north west of Barmer district.
Engine failure is suspected to be the reason behind the crash, IAF spokesperson, Wing Commander S.S. Birdi said. A court of inquiry has been ordered into the crash of the UAV, which was on a reconnaissance mission, he said.
