NDFB militants accused of Assam massacre arrested

Guwahati: Seven NDFB rebels were arrested on Friday in western Assam’s Kokrajhar, which included a self-style platoon commander of the rebel group and a large quantity of arms seized from their possession, police said.

They were accused of massacre of the Adivasis at Pakriguri in Kokrajhar district on December 23

Meanwhile, the MHA pulled up security forces for their poor success rate in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations against NDFB rebels in past 15 days and directed them to submit weekly achievement reports. Sources said that security forces have been asked to submit reports in specific format like — terrorist killed, arrested and arms seized.
