Xiaomi Mi 5 images leaked; may launch on January 15
Xiaomi’s next flagship device is expected to be extremely thin
An increasing demand of Xiaomi handsets made it the third largest smartphone manufacturer in 2014. This in fact works as a positive factor for the company to introduce new devices in this year too.
Xiaomi released a poster on its MIUI website, which gives out an announcement of the flagship device to arrive on January 15. Recent media reports state that Xiaomi’s new flagship handset will be named as ‘Xiaomi Mi 5’ (also rumored as Mi 4s).

Xiaomi’s flagship device is expected to be extremely thin and be powered by a new Snapdragon 805 chipset, which offers around 3GB of RAM. Several Mi5 online images show a glimpse of different versions of Xiaomi Mi 5 that hint at different features of the upcoming handset.
According to the image leaked out by GizmoChina, Xiaomi may call its flagship device as ‘Mi 4s’ may feature a 5.5-inch and is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 805 processor, offering 3GB of RAM. The handset may sport a 16MP rear shooter and 8MP front-facing camera.

Another image hints at a 6-inch device from Xiaomi this year. According to the picture leaked out by leaksfly on Twitter, Xiaomi Mi5 will reportedly sport a 6-inch 1080p display. Leaksfly states that the Mi5 handset will offer 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity.

Traces of the Xiaomi Mi 5 device was also spotted by NWE. These traces give out the information that the Mi 5 will boasts of a super-thin metallic chassis. With the upcoming launch of the next flagship device from Xiaomi, the handset may even target selfie fans.

Phone Arena reported that Xiaomi may introduce the Snapdragon 810 processor and sport an 8MP selfie camera and a 16MP or 20MP rear camera.
There is no confirmed news about the model name of Xiaomi's flagship device that will be unveiled at the National Conference Center, Beijing on January 15, 2015. However, the latest single option poll posted on MIUI website includes options - Mi 4s, Mi 5 and others.
