11 New swine flu cases in Telangana

Most of the people tested positive are between the age-group of 32 to 50 years.

Hyderabad: Eleven people tested positive for swine flu and a 39-year-old man from Kukatpally is said to be in a serious condition. The patient, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital, is being shifted to Gandhi Hospital for further treatment. According to sources, he is on ventilator.

Another 80-year-old woman from New Nallakunta has also been diagnosed and is undergoing treatment in private hospital. Most of the other patients who tested positive are in the age-group of 32 to 50 years.

Currently, at Gandhi Hospital there are 10 patients who earlier availed of treatment in private hospital, but were shifted later to Gandhi Hospital.

Dr K. Narsimulu, the nodal officer, explained, “With the festival season round the corner, people have been told to be careful. Viral infections are on the rise and the cold wave is a cause of concern.”
