Invest in Andhra Pradesh’s 130 projects: Chandrababu Naidu to Singaporean investors
‘Local entrepreneurs should follow Singapore companies and entrepreneurs’
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had asked investors for Singapore to invest in infrastructure projects in the state.
He said the AP government has listed 130 infrastructure projects worth Rs 2 lakh crore, in which the Singaporean investors can explore opportunities.
Mr Naidu suggested that local entrepreneurs must also collaborate with Singaporean companies to take up these projects. The CM said that there would be clarity on the modalities to make Vizag a “Smart City” after US President Barack Obama’s visit to India on January 26.
“Singapore companies and entrepreneurs were once ordinary. However, over the years, with commitment, they have become world-class companies. Local entrepreneurs should follow them and become world-class,” he said.
He added that in February, a new system of e-Biz will be launched, wherein any application to set up an industry in AP will be cleared by a single desk within 21 days. Action will be taken against officials who do not accord permission within the stipulated time.
He added around Rs 1,400 crore worth incentives were cleared at a single stroke after he came to power.
