Hyderabad: Ramya, the estranged daughter of Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s elder brother, on Wednesday joined the Congress in presence of TPCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah.

According to the media release, Ms Ramya joined the Congress and criticised the current style of functioning of the TRS governance that is helmed by her “babai” (uncle).

“Babai K. Chandrasekhar Rao is insecure and that is why he is encouraging the defection of MLAs elected on other party tickets. He has also been frequently changing his statements. Earlier he had said that he will plough Ramoji Film City with one lakh ploughs after coming to power. Now he is denying having said that and is praising Ramoji Rao,” Ms Ramya said.
